Our kids today are more knowledgeable about life due to television.
So parents think that just because their child knows more then they can let them live as little adults?
Why is this?? They are still kids. Kids with more knowledge than before.
But the same amount of immaturity as they've ever had. Emotionally as well as physically.
Go figure.
I know, in the past kids worked on farms and in factories but that still didn't make them mature as an adult.
Just a thought.

 |  I wonder if our kids really are more knowledgeable about life b/c of TV, or actually more ignorant b/c of TV. They may know what's going on in Iraq, but they don't know what's going on in their front yard, b/c kids don't get out and play and associate with other youngsters b/c of TV's, computers, etc... I remember when I was a kid, you couldn't keep me in front of a tv, b/c outside was where I wanted to be. Now, when you drive down any street in america, and you rarely see kids outside! My own brother would rather sit his little girl in front of a TV set, then take her a block away to the park! It really is infuriating! |
