Antenna Calibration question

How do you tune an antenna so that you get the right SWR reading on the channels if the radio doesn't have a calibration?

You can buy a separate SWR meter at Radio Shack, you may find some in the truck stop stores as well but they would be a bit pricier. The instructions for tuning are with the meter.

You do NOT set your SWR by the calibration knob, you set it by adjusting the tip or cutting the antenna.The calibration knob is used when you are checking the swr. If you have a CB shop around I suggest you stop by and pay them the few bucks they charge and have them set you up.
