I am not new to trucking, I have 3 million miles and 28 years. I have just never messed with the radio, other than turning it on.
I have two identical cobra 29's, the weird thing is the SWR, one radio will only set right with dual fiberglass antennas, the other will only set right with a single whip antenna.
Question, what can I do to make a radio really really hard to be walked on.
Jeff, I don't know if this next question is allowed or not, but, you can edit it if not.
Where can I find the schematics for a kicker? (linear)

TT | Short of buying an amp, send that 29 to Sparky's CB Shack and have him turn it into the High-Powered Edition. It will deadkey at 2.5 watts and swing to about 30-35 watts. If you want an amp, don't talk too much for any steady length of time and want to get an inexpensive amp, look at the RM Italy KL-200 or KL-300P. I run the KL-300P with my HP Edition Cobra 29-LTD and it's smokin' bad-a**.

| Tabletalk. The SWR setting is not in the radio but in the antenna, unless you have some internal problems like finals. |

Yeah, I think the one radio may have some serious internal problems, I can't get the SWR to set at all, and it's got a pretty good squeal goin' on.
Nascar made a pretty good suggestion and I found out they're less than fifty miles from the house. So, I'll just do that and let them take care of it for me.
Preciate'cha guys, see ya on the big road, I'll be in the hammer lane movin' at a high rate of fuel consumption.
