In my years repairing radios the General Lee is by far the most trouble free radio on the market. Connex would be second.
Before you go telling me that they are the same there are some differences in the radio but they are made in the same place and in the old radios they were the same, but the new radio have some differences in them.

Love my Galaxy 66(about 6 years now) but had a Connex 3300 way back when that took a lot of abuse and lasted a long time. Can't remember whatever happened to it though. A friend of mine loves his General Lee. May try one someday.

My "office" is a Mack "dump bucket" so I figure if a radio can last in there .it must be worthy

Current radio,
Magnum S-3.:3 years young and flawless.....the Superstar SS3900 GHP it replaced is still strong ( just got the itch for a new radio)....

Our fleet is a "radio soup" collection from Connex ( yes they have problems too) Galaxies and now the "Big Gun" Magnums ( sorry but for the $$..not my Idea of smart purchase).......spending over $$4-500 for a 380,680 or "tricked "up S-9......no thanks....

Just my 2 cents but a mid price radio with dealer support and a "Clean" antenna set-up will make "My Day" at the "Office" and keep seroius $$$ in my pocket........
