So I should be ok with this in line at all times.I will just have to find a way to mount it to my box that will reduce the amount of vibration.Maybe some rubber between the mount and the box? Thanks for the input.

Well, I am not an expert, but I honestly don't know how much wattage a normal SWR meter can take, so I was assuming that you are running legal, with no linear amplifier inline, like lots of the outlaw CB radio fanatics do.

BTW, 4 watts output is what your normal CB unit puts out, by law, nowadays. Back in the day they measured the input at 5 watts and the output was usually about 3.5 watts or so.

Make sure that you turn the calibration knob ALL the way down before rolling . Depending on the meter , you will probably be fine . I do agree the biggest problem will be with the jarring & vibration of the the tractor. I carry a small little Vanco meter that is built like a tank . No power, just SWR only; I have hauled it around now for three years & it is still together .

a couple of the guys at work have just taken and ziptied the meter right to the top of the box with a piece of rubber or velcro between the radio and the meter with great effect
