best cb radio

Need a CB radio....haven`t used one for years...is there a good one I should look to getting - and where to get it...thanks.

Most will say that a cobra 29 is a good buy and it is bc it is simple and easy but will give you many options for upgrades and mods later on if you choose to do so. I run a uniden 68 which is the same as a cobra 25 but if i had to do it again i would get a 29 bc of the mod capablity

well if you want to get into the export radios you get echo, talkback, hi/lo power switch, some radios have ssb some dont and you can get a good radio with most of these feature by getting a connex radio a 3300 connexx model is a good radio and can take a beating but being a 10 meter radio it is illegal to run as an 11 meter radio which is what cb radios run on. but you can get some cb radios that have some of these features if you look more towards the galaxy 3 digit models

I would recommend you buy a radio that already has features, that way you don't end up with a cobra 29 with $400 invested into it.
