What to look for in a CB shop
There are tons of CB Shops and CB websites out there today how do you know who pick and who stay away from. Will first offer several things to ask yourself are you looking for just price for you want a shop that can take care of all your needs at your questions and service your equipment.
If you're looking for this price that's an easy question to answer, just search the web until you find the best price and make the sale. If you want more than that then becomes a little more difficult.
Who do you trust? How do you know if you're going to get the promised results with your radio?
My suggestion to you is to check out the website of the radio shop looking at, see what selections they have on radios and accessories. Is there a phone number to call, if there is call them and get a feel for them and see if you and the person you are talking to click and seem to understand one and other.
Talk to them about repair and ask questions. The answers you are looking for are not how great the person is but is the person on the other end listing to you and are they trying to help you of just sell you something. If your comfortable with them see if there is a message board and if there is go through some of the messages and see what people are talking about. Are they happy or are there problems with the shop. Does the shop reply to there messages, are they active on there message board.
Don't stop there do a search on the web for the tech and see what you can come up with, you will be surprised what is on the web about some shops.
Every shop will have a group of followers that love the shop but that does not mean that is a good shop. Does the shop do complex mods to radios or do they just do the standard clip and snip of radios. Do they have equipment or just a soldering gun and a watt meter.
Do they stock parts for radios? Chances are if they don't stock parts they are not working on a lot of radios.
Some of this you might think is silly but if you need help you want the place that you have been spending your money with to be able to help you and you want to have trust in the shop you are dealing with.
In my years of selling and working on radios I have always tried to educate my customers as to what is best for them and when I tell someone that this is a good product then it is. That is what you want in a shop. Price is not everything when you have a problem or you need a repair.
Being able to be your complete CB Shop is important to me and it should be to the shop you deal with.
If it is not then you have the wrong place and sooner or later you will be disappointed with them or there work.
Your radio shop should be no different than any other professional you deal with you are the customer and you are paying your money so you should feel that you are getting the service and information you need. You should also feel that you are getting the attention you want and deserve, if you are not then you need to look elsewhere to find a good Shop. There are good shops out there and they do want and deserve your business.
I hope you will take the time to look my site over and give me an opportunity to be your CB shop.
I don't always have all the answers but I do try to give the best service and pricing that I can. I also take great pride in my repairs and modifications, some of the stuff I do is very time consuming and difficult to do, but it gives me great pleasure to have someone say that they love the radio I did for them and boy it sounds great. I need to make money but the satisfaction of knowing I made a radio sound great is worth a lot to me.
