I have just replaced my thermometer which reads the outside temp and has a warning for ice. The old one did the same but this new thermometer is affected by the cb. Everytime I "key up" the ice warning alert starts beeping. The new themometer is in the same place and the outside wiring is exactly as before. I did not get this on the old thermometer. But with this new one, I am having this problem. Any ideas?????????
Yeah, everything is on the same bracket and I thought about mounting them differently, but then this did not occur with the old thermometer. But thanks for the response. I will probably separate the two.
Same problem here. I never noticed it before but my old thermometer became inaccurate so I just replaced it. I read this thread and looked at the thermometer when I keyed up and sure enough the screen goes blank. I'll bet that's what killed the old one. I guess I'll have to move the wire as I have it along side the coax.
