I am having a problem with my Uniden Grant. It will receive but will not transmit. I have a conex board with talk back in it. I can hear it fine through the external speaker but it will not transmit. I have had a couple of shops look at it. When I take it in it works just fine. The antenna is grounded well to the cab. Has any one else had this problem?
When you took it in, did you take the mic in that u use with it? Double check all your coax connections, including the coax and antenna. Also check the voltage going to the radio. Other than that, I'm clueless.
Sounds like coax , mount or antenna problem . Next time your at a CB shop have the tech check your antenna system . A great antenna will make a cheap radio sound good ; a bad antenna system just won't work regardless of how good your radio is ....
