Default squealing when i key the mic??

i have a 2950DX.when i key the mic it sqeal's through the radio.i thought it may have been the mic so i put a new one on.same thing.the reception is good but i just cant tranmit.it only does it when i key up.(its a stock radio)any ideas.im going to put my old 25 clasic in untill i find the problem with this one.

Are you running an external speaker? How high is your mic gain? Have you checked your coax connections? What kind of Coax are you using? Are you using talkback?

thanks i just found the prob.it was the coax.some how it got pinched it must have been back feeding works fine now.thanks alot

Is the coax damaged because of this pinch? If it was pinched to the point of it affecting the transmission I would think about getting another piece of coax. Just to be on the safe side..Or have someone check your SWR and make sure it is in an acceptable range. Even though its not squealing anymore there could be some internal damage that could have a bad end result to your radio.
