it wasent the drip it was the sudden stop that hurts ... just kidding weve all done it i droped a president jackson out of a cabover about 6 ft

it was toast broke board had about halh inch crack in it allways new crack was bad

Your swr should not change from radio to radio on the same antenna. You are tuning the antenna to resonate (meaning to be most efficient) on 27.185 mhz (19), or wherever you operate most. As you tune away from that spot, the match will go up. Many factors in the design of the antenna play into how wide that area of resonance winds up being, usually at a cost of wasted power.

my swr is 1.5 on low power and over 3 on high power. do i need to get them lower on high power? any help is greatly appreciated!!
