dude i have been playing with my high dollar anttenas, they done really good, heres what you need to do if you want to run a francis, if you just want the look, run only one francis with a star ground plane at the bottom of your anttena, run 18 foot of of good coax not the grey, and you will have near a halve to a one on your swr meter with any radio, and just run a dummy francis on the other side

To explain this now... That ground plane star thing isn't a "ground plane" if it isn't grounded. It being mounted on the antenna like that makes it "hot", meaning it's radiating rf. your car/ vehicle is the "ground plane". Not trying to be a total turd about it, just trying to explain it where alot of folks can understand what I mean.
