I'm a new truck driver and I need to know tohe best cb I can buy with decent range, but i really don't want to spend a fortune, also will I b able to hook it up myself? any advice will help. thanx.

This is just my opinion....The cobra 29 is a good starter radio...around 110.00 on sale,take it to the radio shop and have it peaked,tuned and talk back added.....It will do a nice job for ya and you can upgrade to a big radio down the road sometome if you wish...I've used the cobra 29 for 24 yrs now....

I totally agree ! If you prefer , the Uniden 78 is a very similar radio to the Cobra 29 . I have had great service from them both . Very good radios to start with & they can be repaired , modified to your pocketbook's limit !
