New to CB's--Advice

I've played around with several for radio's for toys George777. The cobra 29 is a good radio for the money, but I have found out I like the General Lee the best. Get somebody good to peak and tune and good to go.

Doug builds a good radio,the Stealth is abit of an over kill for the average user not intending on running a kicker.
A simple RFX mod 29 will do plenty with a decent antenna like a Wilson 2K or a real nice Predator Comp.

Those looking at the Black Chrome 29's needs to consider the blue LED light,even dimmed they are annoyingly bright. Have Doug hook the (High/Low) to the Ch9 switch instead of the (bright/dim)

that 29 model you was looking at is ok. it'll do you fine, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX....meaning, you DO NOT have to have it "tuned and peaked". to me, that's a waste of money, and if done wrong, it'll FRY in due time.

buy a c.b. radio that is on sale (there are always sales). never pay too much. buy online if you can. just do a "google search" for c.b.radios.

around $100 is enough for a radio. try your BEST to not fall prey to claims other drivers make about thier radios. do not put yourself out at the expense of others.

Steel is alot easier to tune as well. Especially if you slip seat or use the antenna on more than one vehicle.
