Default How many watts?

Can the dashboard terminals on a Sterling daycab handle. I just bought a Connex 4600 Turbo and am wondering if I HAVE to hook it up directly to the battery? Since I bought this radii it seems like I'm going to do more slipseating.
If they won't handle the radio at full power (approx 200 watts) can I just turn the RF gain down some on the radio? or is it possible to hook to power from an aux source on the fuse block. I hope this post makes sense... TIA

I meant to say RF power instead of RF gain

see what the amp draw is on those posts, usually 30 amps but check to see and then check to see how much power on average the radio pulls. you should be fine with a 200 watt radio though.
P.S. it won't be clean power however

I ran a 4600 turbo in a sterling for a long time off of the dash terminals. It did just fine and I'm long winded at times. If your slipseating alot, be sure to watch the SWR when you install that radio, those 2290's in that radio won't last long if your swr is high. If you don't have 1 already a radio shack swr meter is a good 30 or 40 dollar investment for you.

Hey jujuman, you ran it at full power with no problems? I'm gonna give it a try. I don't really have any other options since I can't hook to the battery on every truck I drive. The only other problem I have is the power wires on the radio are 10 guage and the dash terminals are to small for them. I guess I'll have to use some kind of jumper wires.
Thanks for your reply.
