Question Cobra 29 LTD Chrome Mod..

I turned up the modulation (VR4) on the son of a gun now I saw something about L14 Some people recommend adjusting L14 for maximum power How do I go about doing so? When I took my Cobra apart I found L14 but it had like a copper coil I believe and some kind of glue on L14.

This is to do the basic tune up for my Cobra 29 LTD black chrome radio.

I don't know much about CB's so I apologize for my ignorance.

-Thanks
-Joe

I almost forgot, I am not planning on running any amplifiers or anything as of yet this CB is in my POV. I did find a CB shop near me which is great. But I am hoping to save some money before I do any other mods.

Without the proper equipment, you'll probably turn that radio into junk.. I'd suggest into finding a shop with a good tech on hand. Good cb shops are hard to find, watch where you take it.

Cant think of what he goes by but definately avoid the douche that runs around Aushtabula ohio in a ty old pickup truck advertising on channel 19 that he can increase your range 7 to 22 miles. He is a total hack. His idea of a tune is cutting out the mod resistor.
