From what I've heard and seen about Central Transport they would certainly not be at the top of my list of potential employers but if you like what you hear and are comfortable with the company you can always give them a shot and go from there.

Good luck with your decision

xcentralmgr is on a distinguished road
Unhappy Ain't it a shame

It's sad that Central Freight Lines could be confused with, and worse yet, compared to Central Transport. Central Freight was once one of the top carriers in the nation without even going out of the State of Texas. It just shows that one man can ruin a dynasty that had the confidence of the shipping public. It was fine company at one time, and it's sad that now it is accurately described on the boards as a workplace to avoid....There are many fine folks still there, but their leadership is rotten....

There are still many fine folks who work for Central Freight Lines in Albuquerque New Mexico. I wish more people would tell their stories about Central Transport.

Former Central Transport TM here... RUNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!The owner (MM) is pure trash .Crappy equipment, crappy service, plus they treat you, well no need to go there, do not take a job with Central Transport. The turnover at Central is higher than OTR carriers. I am just gettin warmed up.

When I lived and worked for a Teamster carrier in southeastern Michigan during the seventies Central Transport was a strong Teamster truck line. Now from what I have read they are non-union. Can anybody explain how this happen?
