Powderpusher,

I can tell you that Central Transport is a good company that is striving to become better but just as everyone of the other carriers around they have their problems. If anyone out there can show me a carrier that is perfect then I would love to see it. The thing you must find out is Central Transport perfect for you. The only way to know is to give it a try. As you have probably learned, payrate is not always the solution to every problem but the rate sounds fair and I know that Central Transport has parameters set up within the company that promotes communication. If you find things that you do not understand when/if you hire on then communicate with the manager or the regional employee mgr until you obtain an answer. Central also has trainers in place to ensure proper education of company policies at the start. Good luck to you and hopefully you will make the right decision for you and your family.

Central Transport pays you off a hand held scanning device that you clock in & out on your pay will be shorted just about every week it will take several weeks to straighten it out if you should happen to have to send in your scanner for repair you will receive a payroll decuction for between $100.00-600.00per return you won,t be able to get your equipment worked on or repaired when needed you'll pedal freight out of 48' or 53' trailer they have a lot of damaged freight if your a combo driver you will have to unload your freight at a hub terminal then load back to your home terminal not a good empolyee friendly company to work for they also make you wear a canary yellow uniform shirt hookem is a driver recrutier for the company

They (Transport) have a driver that runs across IL on I70 at night, he does around 40 mph, an accident waiting for a place to happen, even saw him pulled over for going to slow at the 61 mm one night, is road paid by the hour also?? Is that why he drives dangerously slow?
