the company story was that the entire northern division is closing with the exception of a few terminals chicago kc and some others but the story kept changing. all i know for sure is that wichita did close sending us all to the unemployment line. the story was that ks would no longer be served but if you go to the cfl web site and enter a ks zip code it will show service via an interline through kc be intersting to see what happens next

their website was upbeat about servicing colorado but it does not mention that it is through RAC transport.who are they interlining with into their former areas,MME,LME or even spliting it between two different carriers?maybe the former central drivers can get on with them if it increases their freight load.

Rac has a hub in Denver, they also service most of the state. Central used to service Denver and Colorado Springs direct out of Denver, and interline the western slope and mountain towns. Central has been using RAC to service Colorado since 2001, now they have a customer service agent tracking their freight from a office in Denver so they can pretend the freight is moving on Central trucks. Moyes and Fasso have destroyed this company, they have no service to Colorado, they are interlining with a second rate LTL, no direct service to Colorado. I bet Swift is pulling 53 ft. trailers from Dallas with Colorado freight and dropping in RACs yard.

At least those of us that worked at the closed terminals got some notice, unlike what cf did. We got to gather up all the trailers and move them to the barn and clean out the offices etc. Central wasnt a bad co to work for once you got used to the lying and finger pointing that came from upper mgmt. I thought things might improve once Fasso was gone but I think the damage is done. we had some swift trailers at wic that when enough volume was found for a direct load would be loaded for a swift driver to pull.
Anyway after working for Crouse Cartage and then CF I am getting used to this.
