Total tonnage decreased 52.9 thousand tons, or 11.1%, from 478.0 thousand tons in Q2 2005 to 425.1 thousand tons in Q2 2006. The average length of haul declined by 2.9% from 488 miles in Q2 2005 to 474 miles in Q2 2006. Central's O/R increased from 103.5% in Q2 2005 to 106.2% in Q2 2006. Central reported a net loss of $7.9 million in Q2 2006.
