Default When Green was clean....

I worked there from 1984 to 1994, in city, dock supv., and dispatch..... it was a monster back then, a lot of pride, and a lot of business, man times have changed. My Dad was there 48 years, started in 1957, he told me a lot of stories that you wouldnt believe, CFL was the big papa before dereg....I even met Woody Jr. one day.....My first tractor, after graduating from a bobtail, was 7300863, V8 detroit that pulled like a scalded dog.....they retired it, why I dont know, then I got 7600963, good tractor but didnt pull. I met a lot of people like my Dad, that bled green.....it felt good to pull up in those green trucks, in uniform, and those nice looking old CFL caps with the trucks on them.....anyone know or remember a line driver out of Waco named "Zip" Bartles?

Default Denver

1998-2001 Denver terminal, was pissed as hell when they shut it down and swore I would never go back to LTL. So far I have not. From the looks of what Moyes and Fasso have done to this company they did us a favor shutting us down. We did have some guys that transferred from Texas and their pride and dedication to Central was evident.
