NEW SYSTEM NOW IN EFFECT AT THE ACTIVITY CENTERS (break bulks)....This makes the delays even longer now of unpaid time for the week...STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. dont believe a word they say in the recruiting process....they have no equal....they are the worst people Ive ever worked for.
They want 14 hours work out of you for 11 hours worth of pay.

We all can be hopeful that things will turn around but as of right now everybody is hurting in the trucking business.
My grandfather ran a bread route back in the depression and worked long and hard for little money but his family was taken care of and that is what its all about. Everybody knows Central is a nasty place with junk equipment in all departments....I prefer to eat and live in my home than to not work somewhere or be back on unemployment from my "good job" that folded without the proper WARN notice and left us all(1200 employees and 10 terminals) hangin...we all have to take care of our family no matter what the sacrifices are...So I guess a fair wage may be a bit overstated....lets just say....a living wage.

That is a good point.....I wish jobs were plentiful. I am considering CT. I am familiar with junk equipment, as I worked for mail contractors. Many have garbage for equipment.

I can put up with BS in any job, I just want to work. I am sick of sitting. Sick of waiting. I hauled mail and id well. Well, until I got laid off.

Myself and other drivers have been doing a relay and there has been many hours of delay. the first time I did it I was delayed 2 hours...others are being held up as much as 3 hours.
NO MENTION OF PAY for our time whatsoever....You are a lucky guy mr golfer cause you work for a very good terminal....the screwing by this heartless company is amazing. things are real busy from what I see but they are still crying poverty with frozen wages. nothing like starting at bottom rate and staying there as the tasks mount and no pay for waiting hours that just keep on adding up....Central is a truly a manipulative deceitful heartless company to have to work for....I hope this economy can get going so I can leave these lowlifes.

Be sure to get a Misc. Pay Sheet at the beginning of each week and fill it out as the week progresses. Make sure you note each and every delay longer than an hour on there and get it signed by your terminal manager at the end of the week. Make sure it's sent to corporate from there. You should get payed what you are owed as long as the TM or assistant TM signs it.
