Not saying that any job should hose you, but like every company out there, it has its own way about it. Private company makes it easier to shoot at the top in these forums, then when you talk about a public one. If you have insurance with BCBS, keep it, as the insurance is definitely not the best. Yet if you don't have access to another, it is insurance that will keep you from paying hundreds and going to the emergency room, for a simple office visit. Bottomline is that it is Central and your experience is your own, not someone elses. Try it and decide if it gets the job done for you or not.

The health insurance is Cherokee. Cherokee insurance is owned by the Marouns. I know of many complaints of people who had difficulty with getting claims paid. Especially if it is a major medical claim. The weekly costs/contributions are pretty consistent with what you would pay with any other non union carrier. They will sell you their idea of a "cafeteria" style benefit plan, but the health care selections aren't really anything more than different levels of coverages as opposed to types of coverages or types of insurance. Basically ownership makes money off of the insurance and monopolize what they provide. This may seem like an over simplification but in reality it is the truth...... You can look at it like this..... If you get sick or hurt, The company you work for ultimately determines if you should get well.
