Default link crash info leading to the deaths of family of 5.

There is always a bottom line to everything.
Now that I see this crash that took the lives of this family was original caused by a seat belt violation.
I say Lord have mercy on the cops who took it upon themselves to start a chase because someone was not obeying the seatbelt law.
You'll all have to read this news report and form your own opinions.

I can't take any credit for this link.
Another (TB) member PM'ed me with it telling me to post wherever I wanted to.
So this news link was a team effort.

However I still have my opinion that this deadly crash that took so many lives as well as wreaking the life of your co-worker, could have been avoided if the cops just ran the plate and went to the address the car was registered at.
Instead of chasing the guy down who wasn't buckled up.

Apostolic, thanks for starting a separate thread.

Quote:
The truck driver who ran into the Workmans was not ticketed and will not face criminal charges, said Sgt. Ann Wojas, spokeswoman for the Indiana State Police.
This will be interesting. What will Conway do....or not do as it may carry implications. If the driver is terminated with a chargeable accident, is it a form of guilt admission? Even if it is only deemed preventable, Conway just invited bigger and better civil litigation because Conway had admitted that the driver was at fault..........and Conway is responsible for that driver.

Therefor, if this happens then all of us that said Conway never admits guilt was wrong. And to whoever implied that the Indiana State Patrol would not admit guilt.........They are at least not trying to divert blame on the driver or Conway with tickets or criminal charges. These are two unexpected turns of events of which one has materialized.

Am happy that the driver appears to be getting a break here...of sorts. And Conway will spend less on lawyers.

Good job on the update Apo and the super secret member.

It's amazing how one incident can lead to a catastrophic incident.

I actually hate it when a cop pulls someone over in the middle of the street. This in itself creates another hazard.
