Hey Drew, as for your question about the CDL they do have some assistance to help you get it, we are just taking delivery of straight trucks, we just got one this week at ORD or Des Plaines Il. I met the new driver for that though. As for dock positions part time only for a max of 30 hours, the list is long to get to full time, Hope this helps.

Hey Guys,
Im new to all this. As a matter of fact so new i dont even have a CDL yet, LOL! Im a part time cop in a suburb where dayton freight is in IL, near Midway and Im really considering getting a cdl, If I go get my permit at the dmv would dayton help get my cdl licence? Yes I've looked into the school thing and it's way to expensive for me to do. Thanks for the help!

My guess would be no,not that they arn't interested, it's just a matter of the economy, with many well qualified drivers right now on lay-off from many companies and the possible closure of Yellow-Roadway on the horizon it would be a tall order for any company right now to train or fund the expense of a non-employee for a cdl. 2 years ago would have been a different story.Like I stated it's just my guess, I could be wrong, a phone call is free and what's the worst they could say? Good Luck
