Default Ohio and Ill speed limits

Now that the state's are going to implement 65mph speed limits , has anybody made contact with linehaul(oop's transportation) about doing away with the lay-down's and converting those runs to turns on the next re-bid for july??I can hear Josh and Garrett from hear trying to come up with every excuse in the book to keep lay-down runs.

That is interesting. Why wouldn't you call them since you seem to have the issue? I remember about a year or so ago when we converted all of our laydown runs to meets. I only know of a handfull of these laydown runs and we have close to 300 drivers. Sounds like you are just mad because you got stuck on one. Why don't you call and ask and then post your garbage?

First I'm not mad, nor did I get 'stuck' with the bid I have, I choose it willingly, and it's a good run with decent miles. My raising the topic was to find out if anyone else has the same concern about the company expense of the lodging, the rentall fee's for the tractor use of the service centers involved. And belive me I have talked to 'J' about this a few times before. When ROC became a break bulk there was a whole slew of new runs for that yard, some good, most fair to poor at best. I know it will take a few bid cycles to get all the kinks worked out. I did point out to 'J' that on a few of the bids they didn't make sense if you put a calculator to them and used their guidlines of the "transit times matrix" sheet. Needless to say he was stumped for an answer. Yes these economic times are trying and we all need to look out for the company and remember what AR say's "If we take of service, all other things will take care of themselves".
