I belive GHE was bought by TNT,then merged into Dugan truck lines[also owned by TNT]in the early 90's Giving TNT Dugan access to GA and the southeast, not long before TNT decided to sell Dugan to USF and exit the U.S.freight market.

Yea I do! Worked for the Winships after Dillion decided a name change was what his daddys co. needed to go national. I started after the name change and just before they started pulling in their horns by closing everything west of the Mississippi.

I worked for Surf-Air, a GHE subsidiary, in Detroit back in the seventies when GHE was still going strong. I met Wadleah Winship during one of his visits from Atlanta.
I read years later that Dillon Winship died of a heart attack at age sixty.

Is Surf Air still in operation? I remember back in the 80's when TSO (Traffic Services Overnite) in Tampa used to deliver their freight.
