You'll never get a KC out of our barn. They took our StL away from us and we load that through WMX now. Unless we somehow manage to load a direct KCM. Come to think of it, I think our kcm goes through IND now. We don't get much west bound break freight. Most of the terminals load their own WMX meets.

Always wondered how many of you fellas make it through HAR. Supposedy were moving more freight across our dock these days than either WMX, Gbo, or Cha.

I'm outta Kansas city 164. 1/2 of the extra board [yes just two of us] used to be always west. Denver and beyond now i would have better luck growing a third arm than getting a west load. I do OK just hanging around the middle of the country. but I know when the snow starts up,, west is where I'll be ... funny how that works. [kinda pisses me off really]
not good enough to run when the weathers nice but when they [dispatch] need some fool to chain up there i will be.
I wonder if these contractors will git-r-done over Vail this winter ? I know the answer.... no it will be me but thats OK its my job

Default Sleep in day cab!

....out of the hotel in Chicago after sitting there for 20 hours.

At least you got a hotel. Dispatched to NJ - didn't have a clue I was there, ""no room at the innn"", deal.

First and last time tried. Rookie's accept that ... road dogs don't.

well some contractors are ok i guess cheap labor but....... we may be a little overboard on them. if contractors are running more and better miles than your company drivers. WATCH OUT problems will be a-comming.
Gotta take care of your boys and ladies period.
if operating ratios and cost per mile are up then lower them !!!!
just throwing cheap labor at the problem is not the fix. start cracking heads. cost per mile maybe down but service takes a hit with contractors.... has too. we care about service ..
contractors don't why should they ??
