It appears we as a company are weathering this financial storm rather well. I know that some folks have been laid off across the board, and I know guys are staying home and miles aren't what we wish they would be. But I feel we are fairing pretty well. I'm challenging my TB Averitt buddies to be ever mindful of our fellow driver out here on the road, some guys are faced to be away from home with considerable less pay. Not only are they away from family but their income is posssibly less than they wish it could be. Some guys are working for companies that are one step away from closure. I quess what I'm thinking out loud is when we think we have it bad sometimes there is always soemone within CB range that would trade places in a heartbeat. Sometimes a kind word or maybe something as simple as giving up the lead to let another one pass easier could make someone's life a little easier. The Lord prompted me to randomly ask a passing driver that appeared to be driving a little more aggressive that usual, "you ok big truck?" His reply was defensive at first but 20 miles later he was thanking me for caring enough to ask about his day. Stating that no one has ever cared enough to ask how he was doing. I'm glad I could show a little of God's love and hopefully encourage him for the rest of his trip. Be safe friends and have a blessed Thankgiving and Christmas season. :shift:

The truck is a workplace, and someone could see you doing it, and may get offended.
Peeing on your tires is still ok.

Until this week. I was in Texas getting unloaded I then headed out onto the interstate at 1am to pick up another load. There was no traffic in either direction. Then I see some head lights ahead and it sure as hell looked like they were coming straight at me. I thought, "Just an optical illusion" they are on the south bound side of the interstate...the lights got closer and there was no separation and here is this pick up truck driving south on the north bound side of the interstate straight at me. I pulled over to the shoulder and stopped and he went about his merry way...hope he made it...
