 FedEx buys U.K. express shipper

FedEx has bought a United Kingdom domestic express transportation company for $234 million to allow its operating unit, FedEx Express, to directly serve the nation’s domestic market.
The Tennessee-based corporation announced the purchase of ANC Holdings, a distribution and logistics services, Dec. 18. ANC has a network of 4,500 people and a fleet of 2,200 vehicles operating from 80 locations.
