This has been going on for a few years now and it has to stop.You have been on the same route for years now and we have to sign in at the door now. Next place you have to put on used safty glasses. Next place you can't wear this type of saftey shoe because it may cause a spark on our floor. Next place you have to put on a hard hat (used) a dirty vest (lime green) ear plugs (used hanging there on a nail) and so on.I have to show my drivers license to rent a cop with a record longer than my trailer (I knew him) and refused. 3 day supension for that one.You can't deliver with shorts on. I have had enough.So many germs and bugs out there.I have refused to to these things and if you refuse some of these boss are on such a power trip that they get totally I rate and start shaking. Last year we got pink eye,and so many colds anf flu ete.Remember because they can not tell you what to do. So if they do call in on you make sure you are standing there when they do. Just give them the number and if you don't they will make up things you said behind your back.You were hired you for your CDL and it is yours. You own the lisence and they do not.I will show it to the proper people.Not Joe Blow.I have seen so many changes in 32 years of this LTL industry and it is getting way out of hand. We supply hard hats,safty glasses vest ear plugs and now I have brought a carry on suit case to work for all of these things.Plus my lunch box, paper work, pros, folder with all the rules and regulations, pallet jack,two wheeler,rain gear and so on.To do a route is like going through the check out line to board a plane.Thanks for letting me vent.
