Is it just me or when the East took over the West they just don't understand the best thing was to let the west run the way it was. We had more business and happier customers and employees. The way the East is set up terminals are closers in the west they are not. The 5 p.m. time line for the customer just is not worth all the shipments we lost. its just not the economy its the direction the company went.

BDB, my service center used to get it's last ltl set at 1100 every morning. Very difficult to service the freight if they did...now, the last ltl set gets in at 0730. Local drivers are all in off the street by 1830 at the latest...they used to drag in as late as 2100.

Whether or not you want to admit it, here in socal, the system is working pretty damn well....

ok so maybe the east was taken over too. but from are point of veiw the east didnt have to change that much. the west did a lot of changes and we noticed it very badly in the freight vol. as for you sl your term might be different that's what i am trying to say are last truck is in by 0830 and are frist trucks at night don't go out before 2100. so thats why i say they run different from term. to term its not all the same and the powers to be need to wake up.

Have you considered the possibility that maybe it's your perception that needs to change?

sl let me clear this up. we still get are freight the same time as we did before the take over. so.cal is a different market i can see how it works better down there but for a small term in the pnw. its hurt us more then helped us. that's what i ment by wake up. just cause it works for some of the term. does not mean its great for everybody. Its all about what works for the customer. With out them we have no comp. just like what's going on now. There mad so they went to somebody different It's not all the economy it was bad choices made by the powers to be.
