Back in the day when we were a People Company, before you just became a number, a company wide meeting use to mean you were going to receive information on how the company is doing, or a change of policy, which would usually be beneficial for the majority. Now I feel like I'm back in school, sitting at my desk, and I get a note to go to the principles office. You just know its not going to be good news. I asked the FLC if he knew what was going on. He said let me check. I guess they used to have access, but that too has went away. So much for the information highway. He did find out that the new bids will be finalized August 23. If that is correct, than the new bids should come out some time before that. I used to be an optimist, but the wiz kids are really making that harder all the time. Good luck to all. TP

Although I could be wrong.

Now that's odd. I heard the same thing but I also heard we were getting paper hats like they use to give away at McDonalds and Burger King

Are you sure it was a meeting for linehaul? It might be a meet and greet with the US Express drivers that you must train to take over your jobs.

I don't think it will take much training. They move as much of our freight as we do now anyway, or it seems that way. I wonder if UPPER management gets a thrill out of doing this? If so, I sure wish they would find a different way to entertain themselves, like maybe some of those paddle ball things like in Blazing Saddles.
