Default New CEO named for FedEx Freight division

(NYSE: FDX) FedEx Corp. Names Logue New Predifent for FedEx Freight. FedEx Corp. today announced the appointment of William J. Logue as president of FedEx Freight Corp., a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and leading provider of regional and long-haul less-than-truckload (LTL) services in North America

No Freight experience at all. This could get interesting.

Sorry. Bad choice of words.

This Bill J. Logue probably has all kinds of "freight" experience in the airline business. He came from the Flying Tiger acquisition.
But he has NO TRUCKING experience whatsoever.

But what the heck if Obama with no real world experience can play President of the United States, I'm sure Bill J. Logue will do a great job in trucking.

"Bill's demonstrated ability to lead complex organizations and his in-depth transport operations experience make him an excellent choice as the new president and CEO of the FedEx Freight Segment," said Frederick W. Smith, chairman, president and chief executive officer of FedEx Corp. "I want to recognize Doug Duncan for his many contributions in helping FedEx build our excellent LTL services. These capabilities have strengthened the FedEx portfolio and I am confident that Bill's leadership will further enhance our performance in this key market."

Dang, Smoke and the rest of ya's....I think Pat is a pretty decent guy.....might have some disagreements one way or the other, but all in all, not so bad.

To the new guy, well, FedEx is famous for moving folks around. May be good, may be bad. My take is that you'd better get your game face on, it's gonna get more serious than it has been heretofore. I've got a feeling he's here to 'straighten the truckers out'.

good luck, I say. We'll see.......probably gonna be a long couple of years, one way or the other.

Peace
