Default Life support

YRC Inc. is on life support......between the FXF and Conway Freight discount, has taken reight from YRC that equates into lower profits for YRC. Their stock is trading at beans per share....I think it's only a matter of time before they arrive to locked gates. FXF and Conway has put the death nail into YRC's casket. What do you think?

The drop in price might have had something to do with the horrible 3rd quarter earnings report, but I might be mistaken.

If and I say If YRC goes out they did it to themselves from piss poor magement and piss poor managing and high demands by the teamsters. Crooked is as crooked does. Price cutting is the template of this business and it's real life. Better managment and slower growth would have keep them in a position of #1. Dont blame others for their own mistakes. It's called competion best man wins. I'm no company man and my heart goes out for the blue collar workers but heads should roll high up on both sides of the isle!! We as a company is just doing what it is to stay in busines but there is a fine line that could get FDX in a court battle if it's crossed. Just my thoughts!

My only question is how long will creditors let their money hang out in the wind before wanting it back? They seem to get extensions all the time, but how long will the money lenders keep doing that? And if they are losing business as is stated here, no amount of money to keep you afloat will make up for the money not coming in. At some time, the money people will want their money back.

But I'm no economist.

If (and I do mean IF!) YRC were to go down, it would be really BAD NEWS for everyone in the freight buisness. All of us from drivers to clerical, managers to dock, will find ourselves in an even worse position than we are in already. Not to mention the hardship YRC staff would suffer.

Simple supply and demand. Yes there will be more freight for the remaining carriers, but there will be a huge over supply of qualified workers, therefore driving down wages and benefits.

We need to hope and pray that they remain and/or return as a competitive force. Otherewise, we are all screwed.
