Has anyone else had a problem with drivers trashing trucks? My ex-Fedex road lemon had to go into the shop (AGAIN!) and so they gave me a spare twin-screw that's shared between several drivers for my peddle run today. As soon as I opened the door, I nearly threw up from the smell! Some ingenious driver put a board between the passenger seat and the dash which was used to pile up garbage nearly 3 feet high. There were Taco Bell, Subway, Rallys, McDonalds wrappers/bags everywhere. On the floor were scratched-off instant lotto tickets, receipts from Pilot truckstops, and gum wrappers. The ashtray was loaded with cigarrete butts. Nastiest of all was a half-eaten moldy Whopper sandwich stowed away under the seat.

I hauled out nearly a whole hefty bag full of trash to the dumpster. I showed the TM and he got royally pissed off and started questioning people but of course nobody fessed up.

What is it with some guys being such slobs? I kinda thought those days were over when I came off the road, but I guess not.
