Just curious to know if certain things are happening throughout the system or if these things are isolated to my area, anyway here it goes.

FXNL shipments are being picked up by FXF drivers. Our driver will go in to make the pickup only to be told "oh FedEx Freight was in and said they can take the FedEx National shipments as well".

Now this is something that someone needs to put a stop to I mean come on for christ sake we give them all the regional freight we had but thats not good enough, lets go in and lie to the customer to get more freight.

This next one really really worries me so all you P&D folks make sure to ask your Sales Reps about this.

This has happened to a few big accounts of ours which we get all the west coast freight for these customers. Anyway it was just found out that FedEx Freight has now matched our base rates so we are no longer cheaper than they are on long haul shipments for these customers and they are now seeking to get the business that we currently have. I am not sure but I think I have seen it and heard it a 100 times that they will not compete for each others business. Please post some comments on this after speaking to your Sales group I would be interested to know if this to is an isolated issue.
