Northstar served us with the WARN ACT (60 day notice) on Wed. Aug 13th. They will cease operation on Dec. 31rst. We were Kraft, Alliant, U.S. bought us in 2001 and created the Northstar Division in 2005. I Have worked in this facility for over 19 years. We are Teamsters.

Fortunately U.S. has another Division in Plymouth Mn. (15 miles away) they are also Teamsters and we are represented by the same local.

Plymouth is putting on a huge addition on so we knew something was up.

Some of our accounts will go to Plymouth but we don't know which ones.

Some of uor employees will go to Plymouth but we don't know how many.

The Co. has agreed to sit down with our union and do what is called "Effects Bargaining" This will determine our future employment with U.S. Foods Corp.

One thing for sure Eagan will suffer Job loss.

Both divisions pay well $21.00 per hr with fully paid healthcare and full pension
