anyway ...i dont know much about cattle hauling here in america but im shure someone will come along who can help you, but as far as rules and regulations we drive straight 10 hours a day. We cannot drive if we've been working past our 14 hours.
Once a week we can use a 2 hour "extension" so that we can drive past our 14 hours to get home safely. This is to be used for weather or unforseen circumstances thechnically, but alot of companies make you use it just to get more regular work (productivity) out of you.
As far as money i know that the euro is more than the US dollar, but myself as a newb driver gross (before taxes) about $5000 a month. You can check out a post i made called "most income" (search it) and you'll get an idea of what truckers with different companies and experience make....
...as i said earlier i dont know anything about cattle hauling, but it seems (and i think most would agree with me) that here in america the big money for truck drivers is in LTL freight "less than truckload"... which pay between 18$/h to $23/h and you typically work 12-14 hours a day with overtime after 8 so if u calculate it it's pretty good money
hope i helped someone else should have more to add
