tsa identification cards

I been following the news on the ports located around usa.There saying tsa beginning march 1 2007 that truck drivers are going to need identity cards to enter ports.Supposedly they believe 30 to 50 percent drivers are illegal immigrants.How will that affect ltl companies if at all.

lol, they already have been doing that for awhile now. at least they are doing it in palm beach and ft lauderdale ports.

The funny thing here is that I have a airport ID card for work ,Picture and the whole works .I had to be fingerprinted.
Then in 2004 I needed to be fingerprinted again at my cost this time for the Haz Endorsment for my CDL.
One agency doesn't talk with another .You'd think that if I had a airport ID that would cover the state and federal part of the CDL.
