Default US Foodservice????

Met this US Foodservices driver the other day who just raved about his job. Had been with them for over 5 years, had a local run, home everyday, etc.

Has anyone else gotten any word on how they are? Anyone on here drive for them now?

My runs have been sooo slow lately I'm thinking about switching to a new industry.

Thanks

A lot of foodservice routes are right up there around 35000-39999 lbs. I did 37,3xx yesterday on my route (I work for reinhart foodservice though). Anyways, Sysco, US, McLane, Reinhart all are about the same deal. All pay on a commission payscale and range from 45k to 65k... Some drivers are making 70+ Most routes are 1 day routes, some are 2 day, a very few are three day trips... You get a lot of home time, but you have to do a lot of manual work.

I have a friend who works for them in PA.
IT's hard work, mostly working in the middle of the night restocking store's
The pay is OK at best but he needs the work. The winter time is the worst because you are in and out of the freezer all night. But It's your desision. Ask some of the other drivers at U.S. Foodservice if they like it. Do not go by one man's opinion. You might like it. Just saying do some investigating before you make a leap. Good Luck and hope you find out what you need.

No I met this dude at a stop. We were both driving doubles. His refrigerated. He said he was a rally, or relay driver and that he pulled the loads and dropped them for empties on a return trip. We call them exchange points where I'm at. He doesn't physically unload the stuff out of them...just gets them from point A to point B, ya know.

Anybody here do that sort of run?
