I'm in the process of obtaining a CDL-A. I've no qualms about my potential about handling any vehicle that's ever been made. I lived on motorcycles for over twenty years and have owned some that would top end (and I used it at in excess of 135 mph). I'm cognizant that what I'm about to question will probably annoy some members of this board.
It all stems from a traffic situation on I 96 just east of Howell Michigan. I was driving a Dodge Pickup with a 5.9 liter engine. The weather suddenly took a turn for the worse and this poorly designed highway iced into a sheet of glass.
It was not possible for me to travel in excess of thirty-five mph without a spin out. **** next thing I knew there were a half-dozen tractor trailers tailgating me and blowing horns.
I want to know how these jerks were staying on the road much less in one lane.
