I have had a few problems with Microsoft streets and trips.....my own fault tho` I just need to pay attention and I wouldn`t end up on some goat trail on the side of a mountian in Kentucky

I had it set for shortest route and thats where it took me, too bad the road wasn`t big enough for me and I ended up getting an escort off the hill by a very nice guy in a pickup truck with a CB......he drove ahead of me to clear traffic coming around the curves, some curves that were not meant for a truck :) Wont do that again!

There is software made for routing trucks but it is expensive, like 300 bucks.

If you use streets and maps from Microsoft it is around 50 dollars just set the types of roads in it so it doesn't take those goat trails.

I use a Garmin M-5 with Mapsource and there is an option for trucks.
I am very pleased with it.
