Got in an altercation with the head honcho at Buddy Moore Trucking about a year ago. Of course they snatched my pay check, but what really hurt is the slanderous report that appeared on my DAC. Trying to clean it up. Meanwhile I've been forced to drive for these fly by night outfits. Do I have any legal recourse? If any of you have ever been in a similar situation I'd appreciate some input.
I know that just like in a credit report you can have DAC add your side of it, that along with a previous clean history from other co's should be enough for future employers, make sure they are aware of the situation.
You could also take them to court (previous employer) but it won't be worth it unless you can prove in court that they are being malicious and slanderous, talk to a good attorney and see if they think you have a case. Heck most attorneys love suing trucking co's..
