Marten Transport??? think again!!

I picked Marten because of their promises of home time, lots of freight to haul, and top notch equipment. Well........as for home time, they made me sit 150 miles from home for three days to deliver a load (all the while lying to me that they were trying to find another driver that would take the load so I could go home for my scheduled home time.....as if anyone would be stupid enough to take a load that paid zero and sit on it for three days). At least two other times in 5 months I was sitting for days waiting for loads. As for their equipment, I had a Freightliner with 470,000 miles that had no heat in the cab when the temp outside was below 30. When I complained to their maintenance dept. about it I was told to either get to a warmer climate or tape a piece of cardboard over the grill. Apparently their driver managers have way too many drivers to keep track of as I would wait for hours for a response to a simple question over the qualcomm. If you are thinking about going with Marten, be very aware of what you might be facing. My dispatcher actually hung up on me while I was talking to him on the phone right before Christmas. I was scheduled to go home that day and had delivered my load at 4AM. He made me sit until after noon before giving me the OK to go home(150 miles from home).
