Debacle
February 23, 2007
(Washington, D.C.) – The Bush administration is expected to announce
today it intends to open the U.S. border to unsafe Mexican trucks in
the next six to eight weeks for a one-year experimental pilot
program. The border has remained closed, except for transfers within
a 20-mile commercial zone, since the implementation of the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) because of the Mexican
government's failure to meet the truck safety and driver training
requirements of NAFTA.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters including video of Hoffa testifying before the senate panel, a video of him debating a pro-opening reporter from the Wall Street Journal, and a video from Lou Dobbs. Check them all out. Personally I can only say kudos to Hoffa and kudos to Lou Dobbs, and kudos to everyone that has sent letters to their senators and representatives. To everyone else, hop on the band wagon before it's too late.
