Default Back ground check tax break

If a company does not pay for your background check is it tax deductable?

If the background check is listed as a seperate expense and not included in your licensing fee, I would imagine that it would be tax deductible. If it is a Federal requirement and the boss won't pick it up, I say let Uncle Sam pay for it.
