Went for a sleep study last night at the V.A. Now I understand why a lot of truck drivers use the machines.I was on one only half the night but I can see how it would improve the quality of your sleep.Wake up feeling better,more rested.Get my machine in about a month and I'll give it a good try then.

I think your going to see alot of this with the CDL stuff changing. I had to get a new machine with a smart card to monitor everything, a second sleep study, and another test where you spend all day in the sleep lab trying to stay awake in a room with the lights out.

Congrats on getting diagnosed -- got mine back in 2004 and have been thrilled with it. Bonus -- blocks out most of the little annoying noises that got my attention every couple of minutes...

I've been using a CPAT machine for about 8 years now and it works nicely. The newest machine is very quiet and better than the first.

I get a letter once a year from the DMV with a form that I have to take to the Doctor. He fills it out and I mail it back to the DMV other than that life with sleep apnea is pretty normal...
