FBI Inspections

This week in a drivers meeting we were told to be on the look out for the FBI doing roadside inspections on Hazmat loads. We were told that the AMA were alerted to this matter and to forward it to their members. In our meeting we were told that if stopped not to give them any information until they presented proper IDs and allowed us to look at their IDs unless they were accompanied by uniformed cops. Has anyone else heard about this or something similar to this?? I guess it has to do with Homeland Security.

No, but it doesnt surprise me.

Just treat em' with a little respect and I doubt if they will hold you long, just like with the highway supertroopers.

Its all just wallpaper to make the 4 wheelers think they are safe from some big bad trucker with a <<>hazmat placard on his rig.

These same 4-wheelers will be out driving drunk, smoking tobacco and speeding and
end up killing themselves long before a hazmat load is ever going to harm them.

Go figure !!

Memorandum posted at dispatch window and bulletin boards. It stated that the notification was given out by the American Trucking Association and that the FBI could possibly be visiting our homes as well as elsewhere.
