Default opportunities in S CA?

Does anyone know of good companies to drive for in Southern CA? My husband has about two years flatbed experience and needs a great job here (home time and pay). He is also former military and has a good record. I've been reading the boards for awhile and would like to know what LTL companies he should check out.

All of them in your locality. Get out the phone book and see which ones have terminals around you locally then start knocking on the doors and filling out applications.

Thank you all for the replies and thank you Volsman for the info. I will certainly have him start checking R & L and other companies out. We have only been in S CA a short time and havent been sure what his opportunites are.
